At least a week ago things were still growing in the Lewis garden. Abie's enjoying assisting with the picking. Anyone want to hire her for help? Since then it has all but frosted. However several of the green tomatoes and peppers were picked the day before the near frost and are currently ripening in a paper bag. Fried green tomatoes may even be attemped with the ones that have yet to turn. Anyone tried them before? It's said around these parts to be quite tasty!
