There are 5 small watermelons on the plant! Granted they can't possibly ripen before frost takes over, but it was all the excitement of the Lewis' to see them. Maybe next year they should neglect the plant sooner in the year?

Watermelons in October?
The Lewis' saw several blossoms and even baby watermelons earlier in the summer, but didn't last - something must have eaten them. So the plant was forgot about and neglected. Then as J went to gather the last of green tomatoes she noticed these!
There are 5 small watermelons on the plant! Granted they can't possibly ripen before frost takes over, but it was all the excitement of the Lewis' to see them. Maybe next year they should neglect the plant sooner in the year?
